The Panhard CD, designed by Charles Deutsch, was produced by Panhard between 1963 and 1965, around 180 units were made.

How to arrive at Montlhéry with class and a touch of exoticism?

Yes, this is the answer, Bricklin SV-1. And in this shade of brown, very very rare. Not to mention the gull-wing doors... and here they seemed to work fine... The car was also quite modern for its bodywork made of resin and fiberglass.

Malcom Bricklin, actually, among other things, a former Subaru importer to the USA, produced in Canada between 1974 and 1976 around 3000 units of his safety car, the SV-1. Not the expected success, but now a nice piece of automotive history.

'Un grand pilote qui a du goût. Merci M. Jean-Claude Andruet.' During the week-end, famous, French rally and Le Mans driver Jean-Claude Andruet attended the Coupes Auto Légende.

Apparently, his daily car is a Peugeot 406 Coupé, like I said, a great pilot with taste. Thanks.

Only powerful cars can reach the highest point of the banking between the two chicanes in Montlhéry. For example a well-prepared 911. The slope is more than 50 degrees, i.e. around 120%... Crazy.

The banked oval was finished in 1924, a year later a road circuit enlarged the available lap distance to ca. 8 miles. And because night-time running was forbidden at Brooklands, Montlhéry became famous for the setting of speed and endurance records in the next decades.
